A Taxi Medical, or Taxi Driver Medical, ensures private-hire and hackney carriage drivers in the UK meet the required health standards (D4) for the profession.
When applying for your taxi or private-hire vehicle (PHV) licence, or renewing an existing one, you must provide a certificate to indicate you have passed this assessment. After your appointment, we issue you with this certificate within 48 hours, subject to individual health circumstances.
One of our qualified doctors will conduct your exam, in order to ensure you meet DVLA Group 2 medical requirements.
