    Treating the whole individual

It’s important to remember that even if you are just experiencing a physical health problem, this can lead to mental health problems as you may not be able to do the things you are used to doing. This is why we believe it is vital to offer services to support an individual’s mental and physical health, not just one or the other.

Here are some of the mental health issues we can support you in overcoming:

    • Anxiety & panic disorder
    • Phobias
    • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
    • Grief & bereavement
    • Eating disorders (including anorexia and bulimia)
    • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
    • Anger management
    • Personal development
    • Infertility
    • Relationships
    • Self-esteem
    • Work related stress

Counselling & Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

We offer a safe and confidential environment where we can work with you to develop effective coping strategies. These can help with long-standing issues and to improve general well-being and resilience.

Both counselling and CBT are used to support people with a range of issues. It can also be of great benefit in helping people to recover from traumatic experiences, such as the physical or emotional impact of an accident.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, you may currently be experiencing uncertainty in relation to the future, or loneliness because of reduced contact or no contact with loved ones. If the Covid-19 pandemic has affected you emotionally, we are committed to offering either face to face or online counselling and psychotherapy.

CBT therapists and clients work together to change a client’s behaviour or thinking patterns. Counselling is less directive and through listening, empathy, encouragement and challenge, counselling aims to help you to better understand yourself and find your own solutions to cope with the issues that you are facing.

Our experienced therapists have been delivering positive well-being outcomes for clients for many years, helping them to gain a better understanding of themselves in order to overcome life’s obstacles and reach their goals.

Counselling and CBT are proven to be effective way of treating a number of different mental health conditions. All of our therapists are registered with the appropriate regulatory body. This includes BACP, BABCP & UKCP.

    Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of treatment that is still fairly new, having been developed in the 1980 by psychologist Francine Shapiro. It is considered a safe and effective way of treating the long-term impact of trauma. The theory is that trauma impacts the way our brains function and are wired, and through the process of EMDR we can re-wire our brain and reduce the levels of anxiety we experience. It is a structured process of treatment consisting of eight phases, during which the objective is to enable the patient’s brain to heal from the trauma that has impacted it.

    Treatments Price
    EMDR Initial Assessment £100
    EMDR Session £100

My husband and I are decided to go to Connexus in Warrington for a wellness check. Can’t believe how thorough the check was. Blood and urine tests, ECG etc. Such a modern place with a really friendly team who put us both at ease straight away. We received the results a couple of days later. Would definitely recommend Connexus Health & Rehabilitation.
